Our first Community-Sponsored Quest!

Greetings, adventurers!
As a part of the Kickstarter, our highest pledge tier included sponsoring a community-made quest in-game. We're pleased to announce that our very first community-sponsored quest, On the Pillars of Darkness: Part 1 by Mattias Von Leiden is live now!
Sponsored quests are thoroughly reviewed and polished by our team, then marked as "Official" in the app. Plus, part of the pledge is donated to the author as a thank you for their inspiring work!
Here's the official description of the quest: "Take your party through the Amyur Confederacy to save the daughter of a noble lord. Will you uncover the disturbing truth behind the disapperance of will you perish like the rest?"
We'll see you in another two weeks with an update on manufacturing once the Chinese New Year is over.

Production update

Greetings adventurers,
We have some updates on manufacturing! First, the bad news: copies might ship out a few weeks behind schedule due to the Chinese New Year. We'd originally estimated getting our order fulfilled before the holiday, but we caught several small issues in proofing that we want to make sure we get right for you. We'll make sure to keep everyone posted as information comes in and we get closer to delivery.
In good news, we got our first production sample of the Deluxe Edition box:
This is one sleek looking box, if we do say so ourselves! There's plenty of room for all your expansions, and there's even space for more cards to come. ;)
The box has a magnetic seal to make sure that your cards won't spill out in transit!
We also made some new additions to the app! We've added the ability for users to include any of the Deluxe Edition art in their quests, for that extra 'oomph' in your next adventure. We have a list of assets here and instructions on how to put them into your quests here.
Now you can enhance that storytelling with some new visuals!
Stay tuned for more production and app updates in two weeks. We're thrilled with how the Deluxe Edition box came out and the expansion is shaping up, and can't wait to get Expedition to your table.

GM's Corner Beta is live!

Adventurers,
As we head into the holidays, I'm excited to share that the newest app release (1.20.1) contains two of the first GM's Corner quests that we unlocked with your help! (Note: You'll need to set your app to utilize The Future to see them)
GM's Corner quests are designed to help GM's tell their own stories, whether its your first time GM'ing or you're a veteran in need of some quick inspiration. "A Shiny Score" provides a lot of background and story but leaves you to fill in key details and decisions, whereas Future Inspirations provides a general story arc suggestion, leaving more of the storytelling up to you. These are our first experiments with the GM's Corner format, and we can't wait to hear your feedback so that we can continue to improve them!
On the manufacturing side, we continue to make good progress. We just completed the digital proofs, where the manufacturer lays out all of the files as if they were going to print them. This helped us catch and fix several small changes. Next up, we will preview a physical proof, where they'll actually print out the files so that we can make sure everything from colors to line weights look good in the real world. Once that's complete, manufacturing will take about a month, and then the copies will adventure across the Pacific Ocean and to your door.

Surveys, Add-ons and Shipping Addresses
You should have received an email from BackerKit earlier this week. We use BackerKit to collect shipping addresses, so please make sure to fill it out! You can also purchase additional copies and add-ons through the survey. We won't be producing additional copies of the empty Deluxe box or clip upgrade kit after the Kickstarter, so now's your chance to pick them up!
About 75% of folks have already responded - for the remaining 25%, please make sure to check your spam folder! The surveys will remain open until the end of January in case you would like to purchase add-ons or upgrade your pledge. We'll wait to finalize addresses and charge cards for add-ons until ~April, about one month before your copies ship.
Looking for an opportunity to test your pen and dive into quest creating? We just announced our new writing contest, Beasts and Blizzards!
Anyone who writes and publishes a quest by January 15th that features beast enemies, a winter setting - or both! - will be rewarded with bonus loot points. The winner will receive 500 loot points total. This is in addition to the 100 loot point reward for publishing your first quest, making winter break the perfect time to try your hand at storytelling!
We've been hard at work improving the app experience based on your feedback. In 1.19.3, we:
Improved the Learning to Adventurer quests to be age-agnostic
Fixed several bugs with multiplayer, and added additional testing to make it more robust
Fixed an issue with search where sometimes no results would be displayed
This weekend, we'll also be releasing 1.20.0, which includes:
An account page (accessible via the top right menu) where you can see your loot points and previous ratings
A fix to the Android app's aspect ratio on wider / taller screens
Fix a bug where rapidly tapping the back button could cause the app to crash

Greetings adventurers,
With the craziness of next week coming up, we just wanted to touch base with our backers to let you know everything going on with Expedition: The Future + Deluxe Edition. Right now we’re finalizing files with our manufacturer, which puts us on schedule.
With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up next week, we’ll be waiting to send out the BackerKit survey until our next update in early December.
